IntelliSource is searching for a dynamic Director of Programming & Events to join our resort partner's team. The Events and Programming Director will utilize arts, entertainment, music and educational events and programs as a forum to attract leisure, business and social groups/guests to the resort. This role will be responsible for researching, coordinating, and implementing programming in alignment with the company’s mission and clientele interest.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Plan, schedule and manage engaging exhibits, performances, shows, seminars, education, openings and all other activities related to entertainment and artistic programming.
  • Coordinate events to attain more occupancy and engagement during periods where the property has the capacity accommodate guests.
  • Organize artistic displays, staging, props, lighting, and other aspects of execution of events and venue set up.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential partners within the arts and entertainment community and community at large, including groups, museums, theatres, performers, galleries, agents, press/media.
  • Assist in helping other departments develop appropriate training for special events as needed to embody the resort brand and appropriately match the event genre and audience to deliver an exceptional guest service.
  • Partner with Marketing. Events, and Sales team on strategy creation and implementation.
  • Run proformas to determine the effectiveness and ROI on events or entertainment being considered
  • Provide key insights into cultural trends including: significant performers, groups, artists, shows, organizations at a local and national level.
  • Determine ticket pricing or positioning of the event or entertainment being considered.
  • Manage all aspects of any event production spanning pre-event through post event.
  • Assist with the development and administration of the programming budget.
  • Interview, hire, select and train any internal or external production staff.
  • Document all performances and events at the resort.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prior programming experience, preferably in an arts or entertainment environment with responsibility for planning, directing, managing, budgeting and execution.
  • Knowledge of and strong connection within local arts culture and community preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge and enthusiasm for performing arts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Creative with proven exhibition, performance, programming management skills.
  • Knowledge of current artistic trends, influencers and opportunities
  • Successful at making persuasive and compelling presentations to key decision makers.
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor and venues.
  • Possess computer skills or trainable to include, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and social media platforms.
  • Capable of acting as an impactful team leader.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules depending on business volumes and related functions.
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent preferred.
