Responsibilities
 
  • Assist CSAP Manager in coordinating safety programs and compliance procedures that will reduce the frequency and severity of personal injuries and vehicle accidents for Pedricktown, NJ.
  • Perform periodic safety, compliance and asset protection audits for NJ1 and follow up with action plans. (Dock Audit, Confined Space, Hazmat audits, Weekly Eyewash, Pathway / Exit and First Aid Kits)
  • Conduct proper reporting, investigation for PIT accidents, personal injury accidents, property damage, near-miss incidents, and general public incidents involving Jet operations.
  • Promote the effective coordination, motivation and training of all Jet members in areas of personal safety, health, regulatory compliance and asset protection.
  • Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating training programs or media which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness to include fork truck certification and any First Aid and/or Blood Bourne Pathogen training.
  • Assist in the implementation of consistent, standardized processes where appropriate.
  • Assist CSAP Manager in addressing specific reporting and record keeping requirements of OSHA as well as other pertinent safety/regulatory compliance and asset protection matters.
  • Maintain documents and records to ensure company compliance.
  • Conduct incident/accident investigations including training, documentation and preventive measures.
 
 
 
Work Environment
 
  • Working in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position.
  • Moves through narrow, confined spaces such as stacks of merchandise or supplies, storage areas, and closets.
  • Moves over sloping, uneven surfaces such as the parking lot, building perimeter, receiving bays, sections of the facility which have temporary cracks, or areas under repair.
  • Moves over slippery surfaces in the work area as well as other areas that may become slippery during inclement weather.
  • May work with substances that require special handling
  • Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions.
  • Works at heights, including on roofs, on scaffolding, or in ceiling spaces.
  • Moves over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • Work overnight, weekends, and varying shifts.
  • Work indoors for extended periods of time.
  • Move through narrow, enclosed, or elevated spaces.
  • Work outdoors for extended periods of time.
  • Work in areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection.
 
Minimum Qualifications
 
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 6 months experience as a Jet Associate or 2-year degree in an asset protection related field (e.g. Safety, Compliance, Criminal Justice, Criminology).
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
  • 1 year experience in public safety, emergency services, law enforcement, or the military. 2 years’ work experience or coursework in a safety, compliance, or security-related field (for example, military, public safety, compliance, criminal justice).
  • 1 year Asset Protection experience (for example, fire suppression, regulatory compliance, facility security).
  • Completed OSHA 10hr safety training. (Or the ability to complete these training courses for a certificate)
